Te Matau a Māui Coastal Trail

Rich history revealed through storytelling kiosks

The Cape Coast Art and Heritage Trust in Hawke’s Bay came to us looking for interpretation signage and kiosks  for a popular local coastal cycle trail. The challenge was to present the content in a way that would encourage people who were walking or biking past to stop and engage.

Working with the Trust, tangata whenua, local designers and historians, we developed: 

 

  • A signage trail with storytelling kiosks featuring vibrant graphics.​

  • Accessible content about the different settlement histories in the area.
